Subject: Mosaic 2.0a4 and display drivers
I have heard many people say that the video drivers of the Diamond
Stealth video card have interfered with Win32s and that Diamond is
beta-testing updated drivers fixing the problem. Does anyone know
if this is also a problem with the Diamond Speedstar Pro? I have
had frequent GPFs in both Mosaic and Mathcad, my other 32 bit app,
and am guessing that this might be the reason why. Can anyone out
there confirm my guess? Also, where can I get the latest Diamond
Speedstar Pro video drivers anyway, without paying big bucks to
call long distance to use their BBS? I have old drivers and would
like the latest version regardless. Thanks in advance.

Subject: Repost--Internet VoiceChat V1.0 RELEASED! (Final Posting)
Here's the most recent public message from the author of IVC:

Subject: Internet VoiceChat V1.0 RELEASED! (Final Posting)
Date: 11 May 1994 02:10:16 GMT
This message is to announce the release of Internet VoiceChat, Version
1.0. This unique program will allow users to conduct live, two-way voice
conversations over the Internet, much like using a telephone or CB radio.
IVC includes several innovative features, such as an Answering Machine,
Call Screening, and much more. Now you can talk to friends and associates
over the Internet right on your PC, without picking up the phone! IVC can
even be minimized and left running in the background. The user can then
start up another program, and if a call is received, a popup window
announces the caller's name and IP address.
System requirements for Internet VoiceChat are: WinSock 1.1, any
Windows(tm)-compatible sound card with a microphone, net connectivity, and
a 386 or better processor. Full online help is included.
IVC has already been uploaded to the following sites (in all cases, the
filename is IVC10.ZIP):
ftp.cica.indiana.edu : /pub/pc/win3/uploads
(to be moved to /pub/pc/win3/winsock)
b61503.student.cwru.edu : /uploads
(to be moved to /winsock)
www.unb.ca : /incoming
(to be moved to /pub/winsock)
ftp.demon.co.uk : /pub/ibmpc/winsock/incoming
(to be moved to /pub/ibmpc/winsock)
I am also in the process of uploading to the following sites:
wuarchive.wustl.edu garbo.uwasa.fi
msdos.archive.umich.edu oak.oakland.edu
I hope you'll give my program a try. Send any questions, comments,
criticisms, or suggestions to ahrens26@wharton.upenn.edu.
Internet VoiceChat is Copyright (C) 1994, Richard L. Ahrens, and marketed
under the Shareware concept. You may try it for a 30-day evaluation
period. Registration is required for continued use thereafter.
